Diana Boucher's wedding gallery doesn't look like a command center, but it is. An elegant, pale blue room with tile floors, the gallery has windows trimmed in tulle and sparkling white lights, stunning wedding photographs on the walls, and a table holding a row of thick invitation books. A silver candelabra, a heart-shaped cake server and champagne glasses adorn another white-trimmed table, which holds a crème colored fondant cake. But the elegance and softness of the room doesn't reduce its efficiency. In the corner, there's a viewing center with a television that invites brides to view the work of local videographers, reception locations, and digital images from photographers. Her wedding gallery also has a library of music where brides can audition various bands and string quartets. Boucher, owner of 'I Do!' Wedding Consulting, a San Antonio wedding planning company, is excited that she and her associates are able to offer so much to brides in one location. "They can come through this door and get it all done. If they need to save time and find the best in San Antonio, it's right here." After planning hundreds of weddings over the last 13 years, Boucher's company has now gathered the resources she has gained in one room. She uses it to give her brides what they're dreaming of. "I like the challenge of meeting every different bride's needs. Every bride has a picture in her mind's eye - whether it's from when she was a little girl or something she saw in a recent Martha Stewart magazine - of what she wants to create," Boucher said. "I try to draw that out and make it a reality. That's really fun for me. And it keeps it interesting and new and fresh." Boucher, who has handled weddings with as few as 75 guests and as many as 500, says that a major part of her service is keeping the bride stress-free. "I always want her to know that if she's worried about something or there's a concern, I will take care of it. And the day of the wedding, there's absolutely nothing we won't do to make sure everything goes right. When she feels under pressure, she can just throw it on us and we'll make it right." Choosing quality vendors is essential to her strategy for orchestrating a perfect wedding. Boucher uses her personal knowledge of local companies to help her brides choose wisely. "We help brides choose vendors that we know their level of quality and reliability. We match people with their personalities, their pricing structures, and their service. So that instead of throwing a dart at the Yellow Pages, they can come in and within an hour, be able to line up a few appointments in each area, and make best use of their time." Boucher's goal is to make sure her brides get the wedding of their dreams within their budget and without any hassle. "We're a service that's worthwhile. If you're investing this much money, you want it to turn out absolutely wonderfully," she said. "Having a planner is the ace in the hole to make sure it does."
