“When a bride and groom decide to share their wedding day with us, their big day becomes our big day,” says Laurie Pena, catering sales manager at the Radisson Hill Country Resort & Spa. “We focus on making it a wonderfully memorable day for the couple, their families, and their guests. No detail is overlooked.” That attention to detail begins in the very first meeting with the couple. “I like to know how they envision their wedding day and what is most important to them,” she explains. “At the same time, I want to be sure that I give them a thorough understanding of our amenities and services so that they can take full advantage of them.” Certainly one of the obvious advantages of the Hill
Country resort is the setting itself. “Our resort has an elegant
yet intimate feel,” Laurie explains. Indeed, the beige stucco walls, “Our courtyard is perfect for an afternoon or evening ceremony or for cocktail hour before the reception,” Laurie says. “It also is a naturally beautiful backdrop for wedding photographs before, during and after the ceremony.” Just a few steps away from the courtyard is the resort’s beautiful 6,000 square foot ballroom, complete with plush carpeting and radiant wrought iron chandeliers. Before dancing the night away, couples can savor an assortment of reception packages that include a sit-down dinner, buffet, food stations, or hors d'oeuvres, all catered by Executive Chef Tony Trujillo, who is as well-known for his ice carvings as he is his culinary skills. All packages include a champagne toast, complimentary cake cutting, and one complimentary night’s stay for the newlyweds in the resort’s best available room. “We can absolutely customize our wedding packages to meet a couple’s needs,” Laurie says. “Whether it is a particular type of ethnic cuisine, a theme wedding, or perhaps a particular set-up in the ballroom, we will work hard to ensure that such wishes are granted.” But perhaps the ultimate place for fulfilling wishes is in the resort’s own ASiRA spa, where the bridal party and guests can enjoy a variety of spa delights in private indoor and outdoor treatment rooms. From relaxing massages to revitalizing facial and body treatments, the ASiRA experience is sure to alleviate any wedding worry or stress. Brides are also sure to indulge in the spa’s first-class salon and renowned make-up services to complete their pre-wedding preparation. “Our spa services are the ultimate in spoiling and pampering,” Laurie says with a smile. “Brides can host their bridesmaids’ parties there, and couples can relax under a starry sky as they enjoy moonlit massages in our outdoor treatment rooms.” Without a doubt, the charm of the Radisson Hill Country Resort & Spa is its exquisite blend of elegance and intimacy. Its 227 rooms, tantalizing restaurants, full service spa, delightful courtyard, and beautifully tiled pools make it an ideal location for both relaxing and celebrating. We have captured the allure of the Hill Country in our resort, and we have kept it intimate,” says Laurie. “Just as a wedding should be.”
