Entering the Turtle Creek Ballroom is like stepping into an era gone by, when chivalry flourished and women's skirts brushed their ankles. Glancing at the ballroom's raised spacious stage, you can almost hear the echoes of big band swing music blended with late night laughter as couples drift on and off the dance floor. Even though the ballroom only dates back a mere 30 years, its ambiance exudes a timeless grace and elegance.

"We really wanted to create an intimate setting," says Eduardo Elizondo. "Built as a country club years ago, it possesses a wonderfully rich architecture. We not only to restored it but also improved on its classic feel."

Indeed, from the front entrance to the mezzanine, the Turtle Creek Ballroom is an exhibit in class. As guests walk through the front doors, a softly lit fountain greets them with the soothing sound of flowing water. Just around the corner from the fountain is the ballroom's marvelous arched entryway, made of four limestone pillars lit with mini-chandeliers and paved with beautiful hardwood floors. That signature entryway opens into the spacious lower seating area, comprised of a large dance floor, an appealing concert stage, an impressive bar, and banquet seating for 350 guests. A mere step up from the dance floor is a raised seating section, encircled by luxuriously dark wood paneling. A set of stairs lead to the mezzanine, which overlooks the dance floor and offers a second bar and seating for another 350 guests. High ceilings complete the ballroom's classic style and also sustain the professional stage lights perched just above the dance floor.

Blended with these traditional amenities is an array of unique and personal touches sure to delight and impress. A video game room, hidden behind French windows, provides alternative entertainment for children and young adults alike. A separate smoking parlor, designed with a view of the dance floor, also provides a non-smoking environment in the main banquet hall. Finally, a bride can enjoy pampering in her own private bridal parlor, adorned with Michelangelo-inspired wall covering, stone tile flooring, and a separate restroom.

"We wanted to provide a special place for the bride to relax in when she needs a break from the hustle and bustle of a reception," Elizondo explains. "It affords her some privacy in a very peaceful setting without her ever having to leave the reception."

To complement its elegant setting, the Turtle Creek Ballroom features Eduardo's Continental Catering. Couples may choose from a variety of delectable catering options as part of their complete reception package, which includes banquet tables and chairs, linens, dinnerware, glassware, wait staff, and gratuity. Decorative centerpieces, chair covers, and other items are also available for rent, if so desired.

Turtle Creek's quality service and personal attention has not gone unnoticed, and the ballroom is often booked nine to twelve months in advance for weekend dates. "We offer special discounted packages for weekday nights, and event coordinators always strive to meet our clients' desires," Eduardo says.
