Story continued below photos.

From the Bride:
“I met my fiance' Aaron in April of 2005, it was love at first sight. I had a 4-year-old daughter and he loved her as his own. We got engaged in July of 2005. We had our second daughter Kay in early 2006, and unfortunately lost a child later that year. Though devastated, several months later we tried again and had our third daughter, Kyra in late 2007. We decided that in 2008 we would get married, but in the end we could not. We learned in 2008 that our middle daughter had Autism and that took all of our funds and we dedicated extra time to learning as much as we could about the disorder.

In early 2009 we had a son and planned to get married later that year. Unfortunately Aaron had lost his job and was working only in temporary positions. We also were seeking treatment for our oldest daughter Krissy for what we suspected to be Asperger's syndrome. As it turns out we were correct and spent 2010 and most of 2011 advocating for Autism and Asperger's Syndrome and trying to get our children the best treatment out there. We planned to get married this year again but by the looks of it, we may have to put it off for another year as we bought a house in mid 2011 and have had to do several repairs.

We love each other very much and for all these years have dreamed of being married, but we just haven't been able to afford it. We have been through so many hard times that tear couples apart and we have always stayed strong and in love. When I get down about not being able to get married, he says that we don't need a piece of paper to show our love for each other, and it makes me feel better but not for long. I know he has always wanted a nice elegant wedding and I dream of that also, but unfortunately it looks like the justice of the peace is in our cards. It seems that every time we come close to really planning it all out, something stops us dead in our tracks.

For me, I just want to marry the love of my life, my best friend, the man who makes me smile, makes me laugh, wipes away my tears, and provides comfort and support when it feels like everything is falling apart. That is our love story in a nutshell, while on the outside it may not be the most romantic story, it is our story and the love we share is just as new today as it was April 10, 2005.”
