From hobby to successful business, Ronee Aguilar knows what it takes to be great in her career. The owner and sole employee of Braid N’Hairpins Makeup & Hair has been a hair and makeup artist for four years.
“It all began when I started teaching myself how to do up-dos and special-event hair because I loved it, and the business grew out of that,” she said, adding that she used to not even be able to fashion a sturdy ponytail.
After discovering her newfound passion, Ronee went on to attend Vizio Makeup Academy, receiving her certification in Makeup Artistry.
She offers event/wedding hair styling and both airbrushed and traditional makeup. Her goal is to make the experience for her clients as personal as possible.
“I don’t take for granted that I am usually one of the last people the bride spends time with before she walks down the aisle,” Ronee said.
Unique to every wedding are those events that provide both couples and their vendors with great memories. Ronee told of how those moments before the bride begins walking to her prince charming are the ones that she handles with the utmost care.
“I try to make that time as calm and special as possible,” she said.
On special occassions, Ronee will bring along an assistant, but she is no ordinary assistant.
“I cherish the time that my oldest daughter has accompanied me as my assistant,” she reminisced. “She makes my job look effortless by keeping my supplies clean and organized.”
For Ronee, being able to share her passion with brides and know that she is able to give them the hair and makeup experience they dream of is what makes her work so rewarding.
Curious as to what some of the more popular hair accessories have been for 2018? Ronee divulged the trends she’s witnessed as fresh roses, baby’s breath and jeweled combs. You definitely cannot go wrong with any of them!
