Once you’ve got that ring, the search for the perfect photographer begins. Your wedding photos are impossible to duplicate and will stay with you long after you’ve said, “I do.” It’s important to find a photographer who will not only reliably capture your wedding day, but also one who’s a stylistic match for you and your partner. San Antonio Wedding’s photographer profiles are here to help you meet the wedding photographers of San Antonio, learn about their unique styles, and find your perfect match.
Edgar Vega is one of San Antonio’s premier wedding photographers. He started photographing weddings six years ago and quickly fell in love with the way wedding photography allowed him to explore love – his love for photography, and his subject’s love for each other.
“I enjoy all those moments that occur in a wedding because they are always one of a kind,” said Edgar. “Wedding photography allows me to be a anonymous viewer of true love.”
Edgar’s style is romantic and intimate. His photos often resemble baroque paintings; rich color, emotional composition, and a tendency to focus on light. In Edgar’s case, he uses the couple’s feelings for each other as another source of light, creating photos that seem to beam with inner light and love.
“There is no other thing that makes me happier than being part of a new journey between two people,” said Edgar.
Edgar does not believe in staging photos; he lets the love and inspiration come on its own. Like baroque painters of old, he captures life in the peak moments of drama; the groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time, the brush of hands during a first dance, and the secret smiles that the couples share at their sweetheart’s table. This approach lets Edgar capture the unique chemistry and one-of-a-kind moments of each of his couples.
“The most important thing for me is the moments that never happen again,” said Edgar. “I want to make great memories for the future of the couples and give all my 100% with every shot.”
Edgar has an earnest and relaxed working style. He works best with brides and grooms who want to be free, natural, and in the mood of the day. He has studied photography in New York and learned to always be focused on wedding days.
“I always love to have a unique connection with my couples, that allows me to know the background of their story and make a personal work,” said Edgar.
When all is said and done, Edgar’s favorite thing about shooting weddings is simple; getting to witness the love.
“Love is always about love,” said Edgar. “I’m the one who cries behind my camera in the lovely moments.”
