Impossible to duplicate and intimately personal, your wedding photos are something that you’ll cherish for years to come. When searching for a wedding photographer, you want to find someone who is not only trustworthy and hardworking, but also a stylistic match for you and your partner. San Antonio Wedding’s photographer profiles are here to help you meet the wedding photographers of San Antonio and find your perfect match.
Linda Rukavina is one of San Antonio’s premier wedding photographers and one of the only Professional Photographers of America certified photographers in the area. With a lifetime of experience and formal education in both photography and art history, she is an old hand at handling wedding day problems and capturing the best moments of your big day.
“Photography is something I was always interested in, since I was a child,” said Linda. “I thought it was magical to be able to capture moments like that.”
You can always identify a Linda Rukavina photo – her work features a characteristic lighting style, a focus on emotion and composition that is unstaged yet painterly.
“I want someone to be able to look at the image and feel exactly what they felt in the moment,” said Linda. “My number one goal is to make sure the emotion is captured.”
Linda’s style developed out of her art history background and love for Renaissance paintings and sculptures. She describes photography as “sculpting with light” and crafts her own photos as carefully as Da Vinci and Caravaggio painted their masterpieces.
“I’m trying to sculpt an image, to create a memory that will last forever,” Linda said. “I’ve spent my entire career learning to work with light. Nothing can capture emotion more.”
Though Linda models her style after the old masters, it is anything but dated. She finds inspiration all around her – in fashion photography, in other photographer’s work and in her own couple’s relationships.
“Wedding photography encompasses every genre you can possibly think of,” said Linda. “Fashion, family, newborn, all of it in one. You have to able to orchestrate a moment without it looking posed. That’s the big difference between run of the mill photography and exceptional photography – knowing the people, the light and being ready.”
As far as clients go, Linda is most concerned with her couples having fun.
“If you have fun, you’re going to have fun images,” she said. “And those are the ones you’ll look back on and be excited about. If you’re free and trusting and ready to have a good time, which most people are at their wedding, you’re my person.”
