Bella Herbsleb and Enzo Medina
How did you meet? We met in middle school. It wasn't until my freshman year of college he asked me out on a date and we have been inseparable since.
Tell us about the proposal: We took a New Year's Eve trip with Enzo's parents and grandmother to Durango, Colorado. It was December 2015. We arrived to our cabin late so we decided to explore the next morning. There was a snow filled backyard and we were practically in a forest. There was a swing that we saw so I went over to it and he started pushing me on the swing. A minute went by that I didnt feel him pushing me anymore, I turned around and he was on one knee proposing. His parents caught it on video and took pictures the whole time! Snow was falling all around us, it was one of the most romantic things I've ever been apart of.
What inspired the design or theme of your wedding day? I really love the gemstone amethyst, so I chose purple for the theme of my wedding and had the bakery make an amethyst cake!
Why did you choose the venue and vendors you did? I chose the McNay Art Museum as a venue because my husband and I love art. We had talked said that, "if we ever have a wedding we are doing it at an art museum." We loved that guests could enjoy the art during cocktail hour. I chose our vendors based on reviews and ratings.
What were some of the most unique elements of your wedding? Our cakes were very unique, and so was the guests being able to view the art during cocktails hour. We had fresh flowers on every table.
Did anything about your wedding exceed your expectations? My florist Erin, Anne Marie's catering and Limelight Photography all exceeded my expectations. Everything they did was beyond amazing. Keri Weber, my event assistant, placed everything exactly how I wanted it to be placed during the event.
