Anna & Corbin
How did you meet? Anna and Corbin met through mutual friends when they were young. After knowing each other for a few months, they started dating, staying together all throughout high school and ever since.
Tell us about the proposal. Corbin proposed at Anna's sister's wedding. Corbin had already been talking with the family about proposing and wanted to make it special. When Anna's sister, Katie, suggested that he do it at her wedding in April 2017, the idea fit with Corbin's thoughts on how he wanted the special moment to go. Surrounded by friends and family, Katie passed the bouquet directly to Anna instead of tossing it into the sea of hopeful singles. As Anna took the bridal bouquet from her sister, Corbin walked up behind her and got down on one knee. Only a very few attendees knew about the special plan, so everyone was shocked, but especially Anna as she said "yes" to her best friend.
Why did you choose the venue and vendors you did? Allen Farmhaus has a gorgeous outdoor open-air chapel, which is one of the things that Anna really wanted for her wedding day. To top that off, the reception space accommodated the couple's moderately large guest list (about 250) and the bride's wishes to allow guests to easily flow from an indoor space to outdoor lounge areas throughout the evening thanks to the reception venue's many large barn doors around the building. After reviewing a list of outstanding wedding professionals in the area, they chose their distinguished list because they fit the couple’s style and personality.
What were some of the most unique elements of your wedding? Sipsy! This vintage camper bar—a feature offered exclusively through the couple's bar service, Bartenders4you—was a big hit! Guests loved it. It fit the overall design and theme of their event, and the service was wonderful. Alongside Sipsy, the outdoor area of the venue was decorated with vintage lounge furniture that provided guests with a luxurious place to sit and enjoy their drinks, the nice weather and a beautiful South Texas sunset. Inside, as a special touch, various flavors of cupcakes were displayed on a unique, tiered, bedspring cupcake stand.
Did anything about your wedding exceed your expectations? The venue co-owners and the coordinators went above and beyond, making Anna feel at ease throughout the entire day.
