How did you meet?
We met when I was a Sophomore in high school and he was a Senior in high school. Caleb and I were always close friends but did not start dating until I was in my senior year of high school.
Tell us about the proposal:
Caleb and I got engaged in a Summer Moon coffee shop in downtown Frisco Texas. Caleb worked there for two years and felt it was an unexpected yet romantic location to pop the question. Caleb and I spent many dates and quality time over coffee at summer moon so it held a special place in our hearts. Caleb and I were on our way home from a date when his manager called him and told him that there was a problem at the shop and asked if he would stop by and check it out. I had no idea that he would be proposing that night but as we walked in there was music playing, candles lit and beautiful flowers and that was when I knew what was happening. Caleb then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Some of our close family and friends were hiding out and came into the shop after to congratulate us, and overall it was the perfect intimate proposal.
What inspired the design or theme of your wedding day?
I wanted my wedding to keep some of the beautiful hill county style but have a classy element.
Why did you choose the venue and vendors you did?
I chose the Grande Hall at the Hofmann Ranch because of how beautiful it is but also because of the sentimental value that it holds. My grandparents Charlotte and Hans Hofmann opened the Grande Hall back in 2008 when I was around 10 years old. As I grew up, I dreamed of having my wedding there and on June 22nd that dream came true! I am so incredibly thankful for Cheers and their team for all the incredible work that they did for my special day. My photographer Blake Nelson exceeded my expectations for the wedding! I have known Blake since I was young and knew that he was the one I wanted capturing my wedding and he did not disappoint. I chose Got It Covered for my catering needs and I was so pleased with their company as a whole. They were so helpful when I was choosing my menu, linens and even helped me with the layout for dinner. For cake I chose Lucy's cakes and they did a fabulous job, both of our cakes looked and tasted amazing and I got so many complements after the wedding.
What were some of the most unique elements of your wedding?
One of my most unique elements of my wedding was the antique doors I had at the ceremony site. They were beautiful rounded chapel doors that made the ceremony site unique!
Did anything about your wedding exceed your expectations?
There were so many different aspects of my wedding that exceeded my expectations but a few were my flowers and my caterer Got it Covered! My officiant also blew Caleb and I away with how wonderful and meaningful the ceremony was!
What advice do you have for couples planning a San Antonio wedding?
My advice for couples in San Antonio would be is to embrace the south Texas heat even in the summer! I had an outdoor wedding in June despite most people advising me to have it indoors. Even though it was warm I have no regretted it one bit! Nothing beats the sunsets in hill country in the summer!
