Amid the enchanting landscape of Sunset Ranch, bluebonnets make their anticipated spring appearance, meandering trails lead to a glittering pond, and darling deer prance among swaying grasses.
But what most captivates brides and grooms are the panoramic views displayed from Sunset Ranch’s newly-built wedding venue.
“Wherever you look, every window reveals rolling hills and spreading oak trees,” says Vicki Collins, owner and manager of Sunset Ranch. “With elegant accents, the venue brings a modern farmhouse approach to a breathtaking Hill Country setting.”
Built by Love
Set on a 1,800-foot elevation just outside Fredericksburg, Sunset Ranch takes full advantage of its spectacular height. With its glistening candelabra chandeliers, glossy concrete flooring and glass garage doors that roll open to the veranda, the venue mirrors the natural surroundings.
“The event space sparkles like a cathedral,” says Collins, who designed the interior. “A 30-foot-ceiling and soaring windows create an impressive venue for the reception and dance, and even an indoor ceremony.”
Built by Collins’ husband, Sunset Ranch can host as many as 200 guests. The exterior features a Texas-style personality with its metal roof, antique wood accents and flourishing succulent garden which creates a photo backdrop.
My daughters recently got married, so I saw a need for a modern wedding venue with country charm,” she describes. “When my husband and I found this property, we knew it would be an idyllic site.”
The rental of Sunset Ranch includes champagne Chiavari chairs, round tables, rectangular serving tables and cocktail terrace tables. Couples may bring their own alcohol and liquor.
Stunning Sunset Ceremonies
As the sun sets behind picturesque bluffs, couples can say, “I do,” in front of a capaciously bubbling three-spring fountain. Ceremony guests take in the awe-inspiring scenery from an evergreen lawn with abundant seating.
Before the reception, everyone can unwind with cocktails under the covered terrace which features a bar that connects to the extensive indoor bar.
“The adjacent lawn is a great area to set up a cozy outdoor lounge or classic games such as cornhole and horseshoes,” Collins says. “The terrace is also a convenient space for a photo booth.”
His and Hers Luxury Dressing Suites
On Sunset Ranch’s first floor, a sumptuous dressing suite provides plush amenities for the bride and her attendants. Dainty crystal chandeliers illuminate wall-to-wall vanities, and an oversized mirror and private bath envelop the ladies in luxury.
For the groom and his party, the second-story dressing suite boasts a 65-inch TV, poker table, leather sofa, spacious deck and private bath.
“The sprawling space is a man cave that blends contemporary comforts with rustic appeal,” Collins describes.
Only 10 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg, Sunset Ranch is located in the heart of the Hill Country. The town’s restaurants, boutiques and quaint hotels will entertain family and friends of every age throughout the weekend.
Collins offers couples a list of nearby overnight accommodations and recommended vendors and can assist wedding coordinators with itinerary planning.
“As a family-owned venue, we go the extra mile,” she says. “Having been a mother of the bride, I know how to smooth out wedding stresses and make the day extra-special for our couples.”
